Nigerian tech company , Andela announced that it has secured $40 million in Series C funding

Andela’s first team was formed in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2014, and has grown there to more than 300 employees.
This round marks one of the largest investments ever led by an African venture firm into an Africa-based company. This announcement comes a year after Andela received $24 million Series B funding round from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative founded by Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan. It brings Andela’s total venture funding to over $80 million.
